Myken vindstyrker - Storm

Smoked whiskey matured in 40-litre ex-bourbon casks.

Tasting notes:

The smoke is noticeable on the scent, but does not fully kick in until the whiskey hits the back of the tongue. The smoke hangs like a blanket over a base of salty caramel sweetness and vanilla, mixed with freshness from citrus fruits. The flavor ebbs slowly, with a slight chilli bite at the end.

Strength: 47 vol% alcohol

Colour: Honey-yellow

The oak casks we use most extensively to mature whiskey in are ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.

Myken Vindstyrker is a series of 4 whiskeys stored in 40 liter casks, which have contained just bourbon and sherry. Two whiskeys are without smoke, and two with smoke. Then you can feel the difference between the different casks, and also between whiskey with and without smoke.
